CHOCOLATE CAKE
Ingredients:
- 3 sqs chocolate, melted
- 2 c sugar
- 3 c cake flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 ¼ tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 lb butter
- 5 pcs eggs
- 1/2 c milk (with 1 tsp calamansi diluted with ½ cup water)
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
- Cream butter and sugar gradually, alternately with the eggs.
- Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately ending with flour. Add chocolate after ½ of dry ingredients and milk are already mixed. Then add flour and milk again, ending with flour.
- Add vanilla.
- Bake in an oven at 350 deg F for 35 mins. Use a jelly roll pan, greased and lined with wax paper and greased again.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1/4 c water
- 1 can milk
- 1 sq chocolate
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 pcs egg yolk
Instructions:
- Mix flour and sugar.
- Combine butter and egg yolks.
- Combine water, milk, and chocolate.
- Combine flour and sugar mixture with water, milk, and chocolate. When slightly thick, add egg yolk mixture.
- Cook until of spreading consistency.
